Worshiping The Queen Of Heaven?
What Does Catholicism Say About Worshiping Mary?
"Mary has the authority over the angels and the blessed in heaven. As a reward for her great humility, God gave her the power and mission of assigning to saints the thrones made vacant by the apostate angels who fell away through pride. Such is the will of the almighty God who exalts the humble, that the powers of heaven, earth and hell, willingly or unwillingly, must obey the commands of the humble Virgin Mary. For God has made her queen of heaven and earth, leader of his armies, keeper of his treasure, dispenser of his graces, mediatrix on behalf of men, destroyer of his enemies, and faithful associate in his great works and triumphs." - Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin.
“No matter how sinful one may have been, if he has devotion to Mary, it is impossible that he be lost." - Saint Hilary of Poitiers - Bishop, Father, and Doctor of the Church; taken from: Mary, Our Sweet Mother by Father Stefano M. Manelli, F.F.I., S.T.D.
Where in the Bible does it say all this?
What Does The Bible Say About Worship? or Who To Worship?
Exodus 20:3, 34:14, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. ... For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."
Deuteronomy 8:19, "And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish."
Jeremiah 7:18-24; 44:23-25, "The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces? Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched. ... For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. ... Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies. Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the Lord, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows." (KJV)
Matthew 4:10, "Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 20:27-28, "Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God."
Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Acts 10:43, "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins."
Jesus Rebukes Mary Worship:
Luke 11:27, "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."
1 Tim. 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
Isaiah 42:8, "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."
The Bible's Final Argument
When people or apostate organizations who claim they speak for God step in to tell you to worship anyone other then God we are to remember that the bible has the final authority on Gods true word, we are also to stay away from their works of darkness.
Matt. 15:9, "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
Luke 12:1, "...Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy."
1 Tim. 1:7, "Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm."
2 Tim. 4:3-4, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Heb. 5:12, "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."
2 Pet. 2:1-3, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
Eph.5:11, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
Acts 5:29, "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
May God Bless you, your family, and keep you all safe from the coming storm.
